Butterfly

Access to medical imaging remains out of reach for 4.7 billion people worldwide. With this challenge in mind, Butterfly Network revolutionized the field by introducing Butterfly iQ—the first pocket-sized ultrasound device powered by chip technology. This groundbreaking tool enables users to scan the entire body, from superficial to deep tissues, using a single probe and an iPhone.

In 2017, we worked with Butterfly to develop an identity that reflects their mission to democratize healthcare and simplify ultrasound technology. Together, we’ve created a brand that embodies innovation, accessibility, and global impact.

In 2019, Butterfly earned an Apple Design Award for design innovation. The following year, Butterfly raised $250 million in investment, achieving a valuation of $1.25 billion. In 2021, Butterfly went public on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker "BFLY." That same year, the company took its device to outer space on Inspiration4, the first all-civilian spaceflight mission.
